We truly believe in preventative eye care. Annual, routine eye examinations start as early as 6 months of age no matter if you wear glasses/contact lenses or not.
Eye health is the utmost importance to us. We are proud to offer the following services:
Comprehensive Eye Exams
Prevention is key! We strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family for a lifetime of healthy vision. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but can be diagnosed by Dr. Dunn, Dr. Martel or Dr. Yost. Comprehensive vision exams go beyond a basic vision screening and involves a series of visual tests as well as medical evaluations. Make sure to get your eyes examined once every year.
Dry Eye Management
Eye burning? Itching? Feeling gritty? Stinging? Fluctuating vision? Tearing? You might have Dry Eye Syndrome- or as Dr. Dunn likes to call it, Ocular Surface Instability!
Ocular Surface Instability is an umbrella term for many symptoms that can come from things like: extended computer use, certain medications, naturally by having birthdays, systemic diseases such as Sjogren's Syndrome, Rheumatoid Arthritis or Lupus to name a few.
Management involves various approaches to alleviate the symptoms both in office and at home which is aimed to improve the overall comfort as well as the function of the ocular structures.
Individual cases of dry eye syndrome may vary, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's important to work closely with Dr. Dunn to develop a tailored management plan that suits your specific needs and helps improve your quality of life!
Emergency Eye Care
It is critical to call an eye care specialist when you have an emergency related to the eyes. Urgent care is not equipped to properly diagnose and treat eye emergencies. Dr. Dunn and her associates are trained in ocular disease and are able to diagnose, treat and manage new onset eye concerns.
InfantSEE Exams
From birth, babies begin exploring the wonders in the world with their eyes. Even before they learn to reach and grab with their hands or crawl and sit-up, their eyes are providing information and stimulation important for their development. Healthy eyes and good vision play a critical role in how infants and children learn to see. Eye and vision problems in infants can cause developmental delays. It is important to detect conditions early to ensure babies have the opportunity to develop the visual abilities they need to grow and learn.
LASIK Co-Management
LASIK stands for laser in-situ keratomileusis and is a popular surgery to correct vision problems. LASIK can help people who are nearsighted or farsighted, as well those who have astigmatism.
There are several Laser Refractive Surgeries besides LASIK that you might be a great candidate for.
All the Optometric Physicians at Gatti Vision co-manages patients that want laser vision correction surgery. They work with incredible surgeons to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Medical Eye Care
There is more to your eyes than just your vision. Dr. Dunn and her associate doctors can evaluate, diagnose, and manage conditions that affect the health of your eyes. Some examples of medical eye conditions are cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye care. To have a lifetime of health vision, it is important to see a provider that can properly manage these conditions.
Neurolens: Relief is in Sight
Headaches? Eye strain? Eye misalignment could be the culprit. Neurolens has a contoured prism design which provides prism where the eyes need it most, correcting eye misalignment naturally and providing comfortable vision.
Pediatric Vision Exams
Good vision and the ability to use the eyes together is critical in early development. If there are vision problems, difficulty in school can occur or even behavior issues. In the state of Oregon there is a pediatric vision benefit which means EVERY child has vision coverage so let us make sure they have a lifetime of healthy vision and the best success at a fruitful life.
Scleral Lenses
Have Keratoconus or another disease on the front surface of your eye that prevents you from seeing well? Call the office to see if a scleral lens/Synergize lens is an option for you!
Vision Therapy and Neuro Rehab
Poor school performance and self-esteem may be indications of an underlying visual problem that can be improved with vision therapy. Optometric vision therapy is a goal-based treatment program customized to fit the visual needs of the individual. Activities are prescribed to improve visual function, comfort, and efficiency as well as change how the individual processes and interprets visual information. Vision therapy is prescribed for individuals of all ages that may be suffering from learning related vision problems, developmental disorders, acquired brain injury, binocular vision dysfunction, amblyopia and more. By training the visual system, symptoms such as headaches, double vision, falling asleep while reading/difficulty reading, and sport performance can be improved.
